Welcome to Perseverance Counseling & Consulting, LLC and thank you for considering us for your needs! I am a veteran of the U.S. Air Force who spent 19 years drinking alcohol to cope with trauma, anger, and PTSD. Some experiences were from childhood and some experiences came as an adult and during my time in service. Over the past ten years I have dedicated my life to helping adolescents, adults, families, and communities who struggle with anger issues, substance use, trauma, PTSD and mental health disorders.
My journey in counseling began in 2010 with me assisting adult men and women with anger, substance use, and mental health disorders in a substance use residential treatment facility. I later gained additional experience in community agencies that focused on substance use and mental health disorders. On January 5, 2018, I embarked on a new journey that led me to Cypress-Fairbanks Independent School District as the district Substance Use Intervention Counselor. In this role, I developed and implemented a substance use intervention program to help adolescents in middle and high schools who struggle with anger issues, substance use, trauma, and other mental health disorders. I have also had opportunities to facilitate community and parent trainings, while also providing consultation to individuals and businesses.
I have obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Services and a Master of Science degree in Mental Health Counseling from Springfield College. I hold licensures as a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor and a Licensed Professional Counselor. I have also acquired certification as a Certified Anger Resolution Therapist. My knowledge and experience has led me to opening my own private practice: Perseverance Counseling & Consulting, LLC.

Perseverance Counseling & Consulting, LLC provides individual counseling, group counseling, family/couples counseling, community/business trainings, and consulting services for the implementation of substance use intervention programs in school districts, for the establishment of substance use/counseling businesses in the community, and for providing education on anger management, substance use, mental health and trauma.
Today, I have the privilege of educating, counseling, and advocating for the many women, men, adolescents, and communities who have found themselves coping with trauma and mental health disorders through the use of substances and/or other inappropriate means. My prayer is that God continues to use me as an agent of change to provide hope to the hopeless and to shine light in the shadows of the dark.
